    There is no screen-capture code in the extension or the dashboard, for your work sites or anywhere else. What gets recorded is time and counts: when a session started, when a task was completed, and how long it took.

  • No keystrokesNothing you type is recorded.

    On the sites you connect, the extension watches for one thing: the keyboard shortcut you choose as your submit action. Every other key press is discarded the moment it happens. Nothing you type is stored - not on our servers, and not on your own device.

  • No task contentYour work stays completely private.

    Prompts, answers, ratings, and comments are not recorded. The submit button you select stays configured on your device. If you enable allocated-time capture, the extension parses the expected-time field you select and syncs the numeric duration with your task record. The source text is not sent.

  • You choose the sitesYou're in control, always.

    The extension runs only on websites you explicitly connect, and only after Chrome asks your permission for that specific site. It has no access to the rest of your browsing, and your work records carry no website address or page path.

What we actually collect

The Chrome Web Store lists three data categories for the extension. Google writes the category names and picks the examples shown under them; here is what each one is for RaterSidekick.

User activity
When your work sessions start and end, when you complete a task, and how long it took.
Never covers: What you type, the content of the page, or where else you browse.
Personally identifiable information
The email address on your RaterSidekick account, and the account it stores your records under.
Never covers: Your home address, your phone number, or your sign-in details for any rating platform.
Authentication information
The sign-in token that keeps you signed in, held on your device and sent only to RaterSidekick.
Never covers: Your password. You type it on our sign-in provider's page, and it never passes through RaterSidekick.

No. RaterSidekick does not save prompts, answers, submissions, ratings, comments, client work content, screenshots, or keystrokes. It keeps private work metadata such as platform, project/profile, session time, task count/type where supported, estimated earnings context, and timestamps.

No. RaterSidekick is not employer monitoring software and does not replace platform-required tools. If a platform requires Insightful, Hubstaff, or its own tracker, keep using that tool. RaterSidekick is designed to run separately as your private work-record layer and only tracks the websites/actions you configure.

No. Platform dashboards and required trackers still matter. RaterSidekick gives you your own private record beside them, so you can review projects, sessions, tasks, estimated earnings, goals, and history without relying only on memory.

No. RaterSidekick does not take screenshots, log keystrokes, record your screen, save prompts, save answers, or copy task content. It only records private work metadata for websites/actions you configure.

No. Chrome uses one label for every extension that reacts to a click or a key press, and there is no finer setting available to us. RaterSidekick reacts to two things, on the sites you choose: the submit button you point it at during setup, and the shortcut you set. Nothing you type is recorded - not on our servers, and not on your device. What reaches your account is the outcome: a task was completed, when it happened, and how long it took.
